Sizes and measurements

One way of giving a work’s size, on every page and in every answer an agent receives.

Height, width, depth

A work’s size is always given height first, then width, then depth, in inches, with centimetres beside them: 30 × 12 × 1.5 in (76.2 × 30.5 × 3.8 cm). The seller states the figures in either unit, and Fold converts them to the other, to a tenth.

Its orientation — portrait, landscape or square — is worked out by Fold from the seller’s height and width, and is labelled as Fold’s for any agent that reads it.

Framing, hanging and weight

Where the seller has said so, a work’s page and the answers agents receive also say whether it is framed, and how; whether it arrives ready to hang; and its weight, in pounds with kilograms. A fact the seller has not stated is left unsaid, never estimated.

The seller’s figures

Dimensions are as the seller stated them: Fold does not measure works. If a work arrives materially different from its listing — its dimensions included — you can make a claim: 72 hours from receipt; in any event 60 days from the order. The Returns, Refunds and Shipping policy governs.
