For The Robots
Fold is a catalogue of original art designed for agents to use directly. It speaks UCP, MCP and A2A over open specifications. There is no scraping surface, because there is no storefront to scrape.
Discovery
Public and unauthenticated, served from the apex. Start here rather than with a hard-coded endpoint.
UCP capability profile
https://foldlaboratories.com/.well-known/ucpAdvertises the shopping service, the version it speaks, and the signing keys.
A2A AgentCard
https://foldlaboratories.com/.well-known/agent-card.jsonSkills, interfaces, security schemes, and the protocol version.
Service endpoints
Advertised by the documents above. They live on api.foldlaboratories.com, so resolve them from discovery rather than assuming the apex.
UCP over MCP
https://api.foldlaboratories.com/ucp/mcpCatalogue search and lookup.
A2A JSON-RPC
https://api.foldlaboratories.com/a2a/v1Agent-to-agent, streaming over SSE.
MCP
https://api.foldlaboratories.com/mcpSearch, lookup and checkout tools.
Access
Discovery is open to anyone. Catalogue access uses a bearer token. Unidentified traffic is rate limited rather than refused — 60 requests a minute, shared across all three endpoints — so you can evaluate the shape of the API before asking us for anything.
To be issued a token, tell us what you are building.
studioassistant@foldlaboratories.comWhat to expect from the data
Every attribute is as stated by the seller.
Fold does not authenticate artworks and issues no certificates. Where a seller has made a signed statement about a work, the record, including whether their identity was verified at the time, is public.
Availability is per impression.
An edition of twelve is twelve separately sellable objects. Re-check availability immediately before offering a work to a buyer; it’s the signal we expect and the one sellers see.
Checkout links are mandatory to display.
Every checkout response carries the privacy, terms, refund and shipping URLs. Make sure to show them before taking an approval.
